The Biomedical Devices research program at AMEL focuses on the development of intelligent and portable healthcare technologies for diagnostic and biomedical applications. Our work combines embedded electronics, sensing systems, biomedical instrumentation, and healthcare technologies to develop practical and deployable medical devices.
We develop integrated biomedical systems capable of supporting point-of-care diagnostics, healthcare monitoring, biosensing, and real-time biomedical analysis. The laboratory emphasizes compact, low-cost, and scalable healthcare technologies suitable for decentralized and resource-limited healthcare environments.
