The Healthcare Systems research theme at the Advanced Microsystems and Smart Engineering Laboratory (AMEL) focuses on the development of intelligent, connected, and deployable healthcare technologies for decentralized and resource-limited healthcare environments. Our work integrates biomedical instrumentation, sensing systems, embedded electronics, portable diagnostics, wireless communication, and intelligent healthcare analytics to develop scalable healthcare solutions with real-world clinical relevance.
The laboratory adopts a systems-level engineering approach toward healthcare technology development, combining hardware, software, sensing, and diagnostic integration into compact and user-oriented healthcare platforms.
