Dr. Sreejith Rajan

 Dr. Sreejith Rajan is a leading researcher and technologist in the field of microfluidics and point-of-care diagnostics, currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer and Director of Research & Development at Cavira Innovations. He earned his Ph.D. in 2020 from Griffith University, Australia, for groundbreaking research on liquid marble-based digital microfluidic systems. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Instrumentation and Applied Physics from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala.

Dr. Rajan’s research focuses on the development of advanced microfluidic platforms for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. His work lies at the intersection of precision engineering, medical diagnostics, and miniaturised lab-on-chip technologies, aiming to transform laboratory processes into portable, accessible solutions.

He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact international journals. His research has been recognised with several honours, including Editor’s Pick and Featured Article distinctions by journals of the American Institute of Physics (AIP). Multiple studies have been showcased on journal covers and featured in global scientific media.

In 2023, Dr. Rajan was awarded the prestigious Griffith University Postdoctoral Fellowship (GUPF-2023). During his Ph.D., he received both the Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (GUIPRS) and the Engineering Postgraduate Research Scholarship (ENGPRS). He was also awarded the AICTE–MHRD Scholarship during his M.Tech studies at IISc.

As CTO and Director of R&D at Cavira Innovations, Dr. Rajan leads interdisciplinary teams in developing cutting-edge diagnostic devices, embedded systems, and AI-integrated healthcare solutions. His work bridges academic innovation and real-world impact, driving advancements in next-generation medical technologies.
