Dr. Sreejith Rajan earned his Ph.D. in 2020 from Griffith University for his pioneering research in liquid marble-based digital microfluidics. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Instrumentation and Applied Physics from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India.
Dr. Rajan’s research interests encompass a wide spectrum of digital microfluidics, with a particular focus on designing and developing instruments and devices for therapeutic applications and disease diagnostics. He has published over 50 papers in esteemed, peer-reviewed international journals. Notably, his work has been recognized as "Editor's Pick" and "Featured Article" by prestigious journals from the American Institute of Physics (AIP). Some of his research has also been highlighted on the cover pages of renowned journals and featured as news in international media outlets.
In 2023, Dr. Rajan was awarded the highly competitive Griffith University Postdoctoral Fellowship (GUPF-2023). During his doctoral studies, he received the prestigious Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (GUIPRS) and the Engineering Postgraduate Research Scholarship (ENGPRS). Additionally, he was a recipient of the All India Council for Technical Education - Ministry of Human Resource Development (AICTE-MHRD) Scholarship during his M.Tech program.
