 The Smart Microsystems research program at AMEL focuses on the development of advanced microscale technologies for biomedical, diagnostic, and healthcare applications. Our work combines microfluidics, microsystems engineering, sensing technologies, embedded electronics, and intelligent system integration to develop compact and functional healthcare platforms.

The laboratory works on digital microfluidics, liquid marble systems, acoustic microfluidics, lab-on-chip technologies, and miniaturized biomedical platforms capable of supporting portable diagnostics, sensing, and biomedical analysis.
